Light Houses of Rhode Island THE guide and gallery for the lighthouses of Rhode Island

Bristol Ferry Light

Bristol Ferry light sits in the shadows of the Mount Hope Bridge.  It used to mark the Bristol end of the ferry running from Bristol to Portsmouth on Aquidneck Island.  Access is pretty trick as the bridge is marked with homeland security signs saying you need to stay 25 yards away, and the road is marked private.  You can shoot it from the end of the road as you drive in, or if you’re more adventurous (and it’s low tide) you can walk around to the south side and get the shot you see above.
